Freddie Lee Graves, 70, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, died Wednesday, September 4, 2025 at his home.
Freddie was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky on July 5, 1955, a son of the late Edith (Gray) and Truman Graves.
Bro. Melvin Holland married Freddie and Ina Jobe in May of 1975 at Mt. Poland Baptist Church.
Freddie worked as a welder, a custodian for Monroe Count School System and a farmer. In 1969 he was saved at Freedom #2 Missionary Baptist Church. in 1975 he joined Mt. Poland Baptist Church, in 1991 he was ordained as a Deacon. Freddie was also the treasurer for the church.
Freddie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ina Graves, of Tompkinsville; a son, Wesley James Graves, and wife, Mackenzie, of Moss, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Chloe Mae, Sadie James and Daisy Jewell Graves.
Freddie is also survived by a sister, Virginia Wilson, of Florida; two brothers, Terry Graves, of Florida; Jerry Graves, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews, and his mother-in-law, Lena Rose Jobe.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Katheryne Stewart and Athlene Helton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Mt. Poland Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Mt. Poland Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, September 6, from 12-8PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, and Sunday, September 7, from 10:00AM until service time at 2:00PM at Mt. Poland Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Freddie’s memory may be made to Mt. Poland Cemetery.
