Judith Ann “Judy” Lyon, 82, of Gamaliel, Kentucky, died Monday, September 1,2025 at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.
Judy was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 18, 1943, a daughter of the late Lorayne (Bartley) and Orby Lyon.
She worked as a seamstress at various sewing factories. She enjoyed quilting and cooking. She joined Athens Missionary Baptist Church in October of 1957.
Judy is survived by a sister, Jane Ellen Lyon, of Gamaliel, Kentucky; two brothers, Glen Ray Lyon, and wife, Robin, of Gamaliel, Kentucky and Henry Lyon, and wife, Marc, of Versailles, Kentucky; special niece, Dorothy Pare; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lyon, and his wife, Joyce.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with Bro. Darrell Bartley and Bro. Kevin Lyons officiating. Burial is in White Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 4 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville and 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, September 5 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory may be made to White Cemetery.
