Deloris “Jane” Highbaugh age 92 of Bonnieville died Friday, August 8, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born in Bonnieville on October 30, 1932 to James Edward Hawk & Annie Ethel Reynolds. She was a lifelong resident of Bonnieville. Jane owned & operated her own grocery store in Bonnieville for 10 years and held several managerial positions in retail in the Hart County area. She also enjoyed her time working as a cook for her niece, Roslyn, at the White House Café in Upton. She was known as “Aunt Jane” by many of her customers there.
She was a longtime member of Bonnieville Baptist Church, Bonnieville Homemakers and the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, George; her daughter Debbie Lynn Oldham; her son-in-law Terry Oldham; her parents,James Edward Hawk & Annie Ethel Reynolds; her sister Mary Elizabeth Gardner & her brother LeRoy Hawk.
Jane is survived by her two daughters Deannie (Harvey) Brackett of Upton & Sandy Steger of Bonnieville; a brother Marvin Hawk of Elizabethtown; a sister-in-law Martha Blackburn of Upton; her grandchildren Brandon Oldham, Amanda (Tyler) Fulkerson, Trenton (Tammy) Oldham, Aaron (Aretha) Brackett, John (Tammy) Highbaugh and a bonus grandson Kyle Willian, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren & her cat Elvira aka Baby girl.
Funeral services for Deloris “Jane” Highbaugh will be 2pm Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Bonnieville Baptist Church with Bro. Jeremy Glaab and Bro. Steve Highbaugh officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 3pm- 8pm CST at the Sego Funeral Home and after 10am Monday at the Bonnieville Baptist Church. Burial will be
in the Memory Park Cemetery.
