Whether it was through her work or in her personal life, she was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. In her free time, Connie enjoyed camping with her “camping kids,” quilting in her sewing room, and spending hours in the kitchen baking, making jams, and canning fruits and vegetables.
A woman of strong faith, Connie loved the Lord and never missed an opportunity to share His message with others. She was passionate about ensuring everyone she met knew of Jesus’ love and would get to share heaven with her.
Connie spent 45 years with her husband, Raymond. Together, they shared countless adventures traveling. camping, and simply enjoying time together on the porch. Their love for each other was evident to all who knew them.
One of Connie’s, who was affectionately known as Nonnie, greatest joys was caring for her grandchildren. She took pride in staying home to care for them until they were old enough to go to school, showering them with love and affection at every opportunity.
Connie faced the hardest battle of her life over the last 6 1/2 years, courageously fighting cancer with strength and determination. Though the battle was fierce, she never gave up. In the end, cancer did not defeat her- Jesus was simply ready for her to come home.
