James Darrell Jackson

James Darrell Jackson, 62, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, August 3rd, at his home.

Darrell was born in Tompkinsville, KY on February 20, 1963, a son of the late Freida Carol (Walker) and James Jackson.

On April 22, 2000, he married Sherrye Meadows at Monroe County Courthouse.

Darrell was a Monroe County Constable for 17 years and Deputy Sheriff for 14 years. Darrell enjoyed trading, selling cars, and loved antique cars.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sherrye Jackson, of Tompkinsville, KY; four daughters, Lesley Jackson, of Tompkinsville, KY;  Lisa  Jackson, of Tompkinsville, KY;
Hannah  Foust (Tyler), of Scottsville, KY;  Mary  Jackson (Donovan Gentry), of Tompkinsville, KY;  two sons, Timmy Jackson, of Tompkinsville, KY;  Alan Jackson, of WI; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Darrell is also survived by a sister, Judy, (Jackie Pennington), of Tompkinsville, KY; uncle, Raymond Walker of Summer Shade, and aunts, Margie Webb of Summer Shade and Linda Trivett of Glasgow, KY; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Darrell’s memory may be made to Bethlehem Cemetery
