Maevonna Day age 90 passed away peacefully Friday morning at Vitality Assisted Living in Elizabethtown.
She was the daughter of William Floyd “Bunk” and Carma Hill Wilkerson.
Maevonna was the post master at the Cub Run Post Office when it was established in an old store building and
she retired 35 years later in the new post office building.
She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Her life was her church and every moment that she
spend with her great-great-grandbabies.
Visitation for Maevonna Day will be Sunday from 10am-8pm at the Sego Funeral Home and Monday from
10am -1pm at Macedonia Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 1pm Monday at the Macedonia Baptist
Church with Bro. Malcolm Doyle officiating. Burial will be in the New Macedonia Church Cemetery.
