Loy Quenton Cole

Mr. Loy Quenton Cole of Albany Kentucky passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at The Medical Center in Albany, Kentucky, having attained the age of 83 years, 2 months, and 2 days. He was born on Tuesday, May 19, 1942, in Clinton County, Kentucky, the son of Vernon G. & Lea (Smith) Cole. Quenton was of the Christian Faith, had a love for conversation, and spent many hours listening and chatting on his CB radio. He worked as a carpenter and was truly a jack of all trades, always willing to take on any project. He enjoyed farming and gardening, and in his younger days, he was an avid hunter. Later in life, he found comfort watching television from his favorite recliner. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, family and love of his life, Ruth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Polston) Cole, whom he wed on Saturday, November 2, 1963, brothers, Stanley Cole, Wesley Cole, Norman Cole, Kenny Cole, Wendell Cole, Wayne Cole, and sisters, Ida Mae Smith, and Kay Glidewell.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina (& Richard) Buster of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Kellie (& Joe) Wood, Tommy (& Gayla) Hensley, Colby Buster, great-grandchildren, Ella Wood, Evan Wood, Ezra Wood, Magnolia Hensley, Nathaniel Hensley, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. C.S.T. until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Grave Yard in Clinton County, Kentucky.
