Wynona Young, born Oct. 9, 1932, in Glasgow died peacefully July 3, 2025, at Barren County Health and Rehab in Glasgow. A beloved matriarch and a source of joy for many, Wynona was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Wynona was the cherished daughter of Lacy Lynn and Ellie Sears Smith Lynn. She dedicated her life to her family, standing as a pillar of strength and love. Wynona shared her life with her late husband, James Kenneth Young, with whom she built a warm and nurturing home for their family for 67 years.
Wynona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and several siblings, Rossie Bunn, Charles Smith, George Smith, Edna Moore, Geneva Jones, Gene Lynn and Freda Graven. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memories will forever dwell within her family.
Her legacy continues through her living family members, including her beloved daughter, Reba Young (Gerald); and her cherished grandchildren, Gabriel Barrett and Colin Barrett. Wynona is also survived by her sister, Marianna Harlow, along with several nieces and nephews who will remember her with fondness and love.
The funeral service is at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 8,2025, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home
