Michael Thomas Killebrew was born Aug. 6, 1954, in Hopkinsville to Hulan Killebrew and Bobbie Jean Combs. He died July 5, 2025.
Mike loved to be outdoors. Throughout his 32 years of marriage to Cynthia Killebrew, they took many camping and horseback-riding trips. Mike also enjoyed farming, gardening, playing guitar, stone masonry, watching hummingbirds and woodworking. One of Mike’s favorite memories was pulling Cynthia on a sled in the snow behind the four-wheeler. Mike will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, fun uncle, and kind brother and friend.
He was a member of Columbia Avenue Church of Christ in Glasgow. He often studied the Bible and tried to live and love like Jesus. Mike was a member of the Austin Masonic Lodge. He also enjoyed chatting with friends on the CB radio and was lovingly nicknamed “Stoneman.”
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Martha Killebrew; stepfather Billy Combs; and sister, Julie Mutter (Freddie).
He is survived by his wife; a son, Michael Killebrew; a daughter, Stephanie Reynolds (Steven); a brother, Kevin Killebrew (Karen); a sister, Patty Childress; and many extended family members. Mike and Cynthia loved their dogs, Dog, Butch, Blue, Sally and Tate.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
