Phil Wiseman, 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky Wednesday July 2, 2025. He was born on February 2, 1944 to the late Roy (Huck) and Charlotte Wiseman in Irvine, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Bryant.
Phil loved his family more than anything and everyone loved him. He was known to give the best hugs. He was a 1962 graduate of Warren County High. Phil earned seventeen varsity letters in four sports and was inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2023 for his athletic achievements. An avid Western Kentucky University football fan, he loved traveling to games and supporting his Hilltoppers. He and Brenda traveled to all 50 states, making lifelong friendships through their love of travel and Harley rides. Known as Uncle Phil or Pap, he was a devoted family man who could fix anything always jokingly saying, “I can fix anything except a broken heart”. His warmth and humor touched all who knew him.
Phil is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Brenda; daughter, Cindy Wiseman McAllister (Craig); son, Bryne Wiseman (Ann); grandchildren, Lindsey McAllister, Morgan McAllister Mills (Tyler), Lauren Wiseman Gooding (Jackson), and Meredith Wiseman; and great-grandchild, Blair Taulbee, daughter of Lindsey; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at Hillvue Heights Church, 3219 Nashville Rd., Bowling Green, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or Hillvue Heights Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
