Joshua Ray Stanka, 42, of Brownsville died June 6, 2025 in Scottsville.
The St. Claire County, IL native was a construction worker, a member of Laborers International Union of North America, and enjoyed kayaking, fishing and other outdoor activities. He was a son of Robert Raymond Stanka of Dupo, IL and Kenna Haynes Malin of Bee Spring, who survive.
A private celebration of life service was held on June 13th. Another celebration of life service is planned for a later date in Columbia, IL. Gravil Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Other survivors include two sons, Klayton Stanka of Waterloo, IL and Kolton Stanka of Corpus Christi, TX; two brothers, Jason Stanka (Andrea Eastman) of Brownsville and Brandon Stanka of Cohokia, IL; three sisters, Chelsey Malin, Jessica Malin Busby and Jenna Malin; a nephew, Hayden Stanka; two nieces, Sophia Sanders and Addison Eastman; and a special cousin, Megan Simmons.
