David Wayne Richardson, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He lived most of his adult life in Owensboro, KY where he owned a property management business, and more recently he spent his retirement in his childhood hometown of Munfordville, KY. David greatly appreciated his life and family, as well as his many hobbies including baseball, trading stocks, and kayaking on Green River. He was an avid reader and loved listening to his favorite tunes while logging miles at Thelma Stovall Park. He will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene David Richardson and Minnie Pearl Puckett Richardson, his brother, Robert Richardson, and his sisters, Janie May Carson and Barbara Ann Logsdon.
David is survived by his spouse, Sandra, and stepdaughter, Jessa Millay, of Owensboro, KY; son, Byron, daughter-in-law, Amber, and grandchildren, Alex and Cameron, of Louisville, KY; son, Daniel, and daughter-in-law, Laura, of South Jordan, UT; sister-in-law, Sylvia, of Macon, GA; 4 nieces and nephews, Michael Richardson, Sheryl Richardson, Marsha Samellas, Larisa Joiner; four great-nieces & nephews, Hank & Emma Joiner, Evan & Morgan Richardson, several cousins and friends, and his rambunctious high school classmates that still get together for monthly lunches.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM CST on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 3:00PM CST to 7:00PM CST, and will continue after 8:00AM CST on Saturday, until the time of the service at 11:00AM.
