Kent Dewayne Simmons, 61, of Fountain Run, KY, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 at Medical Center of Bowling Green.
Kent was born October 30, 1963, a son of Kenneth Simmons and the late Barbara Sue (Cleary) Simmons.
He worked at AO Smith, Construction and was a farmer. Kent enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.
Kent is survived by a son, Jarrod Hale, of Gamaliel, KY; father, Kenneth Simmons of Fountain Run, KY; brother, Billy Simmons, and wife, Christy of Fountain Run, KY; and sister, Kendra Simmons of Scottsville, KY.
Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Dakota Houchens (Carissa Mabe), Brooke Simmons Smith (Ethan), Whitley Francis (Hobie Irvin), Stella Simmons (Wade Thompson), Greg Simmons, Logan Unruh, Allie Simmons; Great nieces and nephews, Carson, Carter and Huntleigh Sue; several aunts, uncles and extended family also survive.
Other than his mother, Sue Simmons, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Stella and Fowler Cleary, Hascal Roscoe and Roxie Mae Simmons.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Fountain Run Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeremey Yokley officiating. Burial to follow at Fountain Run Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, and Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at Fountain Run Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kent’s memory may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fountain Run Funeral Home.
