Edna Wood Bradley, age 94 of Hardyville, KY passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2025 at her home. She was a member of Woodsonville Baptist Church where she was a former secretary, worked with the youth, and head of the missions. She was a member and former President of the Homemakers. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Kentucky State University and her Masters from Western Kentucky University. She was retired from John Bayne Elementary School in Maryland. Starting her career at Carter- Dowling Elementary School locally. She substituted in the Hart County School System for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, and just taking care of her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is the daughter of the late Robert Wood and the late Dorothy Vaughn Wood.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Abner Bradley; her son, Daryl Wood Bradley.
She is survived by her two children, Mavis Gaynelle Bradley, Roswell, GA; and Randall Bradley, Hardyville, KY; four grandchildren, Byron, Derrick, Shalaya, Dana (Tomas); one great-grandson and grandmas’s boy, Storm Bradley; her special cousin, William “Bunt” Wood.
The family will receive friends from 1:00- 6:00 PM CT on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home and again from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Woodsonville Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Bryant and Rev. K.T. Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Woodsonville Memorial Gardens.
