Vada Claire Brent Fryer

Vada Claire Brent Fryer age 90 of Bowling Green passed away Monday evening, May 12th at her home. She was born to Lawrence & Luvena Jacobs Brent in Munfordville in 1934. She was preceded by her brothers and sisters Lawrence Brent, Jr., Frank Brent, Phillip Brent, Del Ray Brent & Virginia Doris Wilson & a grandson John.

Vada was born again at the age of eleven years and joined the First Baptist Church of Charlestown, IN where the family lived during the war. At the age of 14 she joined Munfordville Baptist Church and attended there and Mt. Beulah Methodist Church until her marriage to Hubert in 1952. Together they attended Center Point Baptist Church for 18years. She and Hubert moved to Bowling Green in 1993, at which time she attended Hillvue Heights Church with many of her family members. In 2009 she and Hubert began attending Lifeway Community Church, in Plano, KY near their home.

Much of Vada’s life and energy was spent as wife, mother & grandmother and as a teacher of children and youth in various churches and in her home. Her less important career was as secretary & office manager for 25 years, first at Ft. Knox, Munfordville Baptist Church and later at Schwans Sales Enterprises in Bowling Green. Her desire, always until her last moment on this earth, was that all her family members prepare their hearts and souls for the Great Family Reunion in Heaven.

Vada is survived by her husband Hubert; they were blessed with four children, Diana Marie Blick, Stephen Mark Fryer, Marilyn Ruth Percell and Laura Leigh Wilkins; 9 beloved grandchildren James, Monica, Jenny, Beth, Emily, Stephen, Shantel, Tara and Nick; also 14 wonderful great-grandchildren Isley, Brittney, Noah, Tanner, Tayven, Ellis, Ryanon Claire, Camden, Cason, Livi, Aziza, along with several step-grandchildren who brought joy to their lives through the years.

The funeral service for Vada Claire Brent Fryer will be held at 10am Thursday, May 15th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm and after 8am Thursday at the Sego Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Center Point Cemetery.

In memory of Vada, memorials may be given to the Center Point Cemetery fund, Mt. Beulah Methodist Church or to Wilkerson Temple Methodist Church, these donations can be left at the funeral home.
