Clyde Willoughby Lane

Clyde Willoughby Lane, 74, Glasgow, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green.  Born at Shepherdsville, he was the son of the late James D. Lane and Eula Beatrice Smith Lane.

Clyde was a graduate of Glasgow High School after which he became a Master Electrician.  He was also a musician and was a member of the Steel Country Band.  He was definitely a practical joker and a member of the Coral Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Nikki Lane; six children: Teresa Cross (Erik), Amanda Lane, James Lane, Christina Lane (Harly), Brooklyn Lane, and Corey Willoughby Lane; one sister, Diane Estes; five honorary brothers (Members of the Steel Country Band—Tim Durham, Karl Everett, Donnie Miller, Jimmy Lewis, and David Lackey); eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Lane and Joe Lane; and by two sisters: Bessie Lane and Kaye Heers.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Clyde’s minor children’s educational fund and can be made at the funeral home.
