Betty Turner Hare, 74, Glasgow, passed away peacefully on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2025. Betty endured a 12 year battle with cancer and was welcomed into Heaven by her son, husband, and a host of other family members and friends.
Betty was born at Marrowbone, the daughter of the late Raymond Bransford Turner and Margaret A. Best Turner. Betty was active in her community and was always willing to help anyone in need. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and found them to be a blessing in her life. Above all, Betty placed a high value on being a mother and a Ninnie.
Survivors include two daughters: Candi Howard (Brian) and Lisa Robertson (Troy); thirteen grandchildren: Stephen, Blake, Kaylie (Colin), Noah, Will, Gracie, Truett, Ann, Daniel, Haddie, Graceson, Lydia, and Caroline; two great-grandchidlren: Cason and Oliver; two sisters: Marie Owens (Bob) and Diane Phelps; two brothers: Joe Turner (Melinda) and Larry Turner (Clara); several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Carroll Hare; one son, Scott Hare; and three sisters: Nancy Bennett, Helen Spears, and Wanda Davis.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation will after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
