Karen Teresa Clark

Karen Teresa Clark, 64, Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Shanti Niketan Hospice Home.  A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Betty Fargason Smith.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard Clark.

Karen was a graduate of Glasgow High School and a retired employee of the Barren County Board of Education.  She had many varied interests in addition to her loving to visit Mammoth Cave and the Great Smoky Mountains.  Prior to her husband’s death, she enjoyed motorcycle riding with him.  She dedicated much of her interests to her family, her grandson, and her dog.  During her quiet times, she enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.  Even with all these interests, she realized great enjoyment from helping others.

Survivors include two sons: Kent Clark (Stacy) of Elizabethtown and Aaron Clark of Groveland, California; one grandson, Parker Clark; one brother, Anthony Smith (Rita); three sisters: Sandy Perdue (Lonnie), Tammy Houchens (Roger), and Angela Button (John); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hopewell Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 Monday and 9 to 12 Tuesday at the funeral home.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to BRAWA.
