An Adair County woman has been hospitalized after leading Kentucky State Police on a chase that spanned both Barren and Warren counties.

Breanna Hatcher, 28, of Columbia, fled from state police after they attempted to stop her for speeding on Burkesville Road in Glasgow, according to KSP Public Information Officer Katan Parker. The pursuit began after 11 p.m. Wednesday.

At the time of the chase, Hatcher had two juveniles and a dog in her vehicle, Parker said.

Parker said the pursuit ended when Hatcher’s vehicle overturned near mile marker 38 on Interstate 65 in Smiths Grove. She was flown to Vanderbilt University Hospital for treatment. The children and the dog were not injured, according to Parker.

Hatcher faces charges of speeding, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, criminal abuse of a child 12 and under, driving under the influence (first offense), resisting arrest, failure to use child restraint device, endangering welfare of a minor, second-degree cruelty to animals.
