Vintage Vibes Revived: House of Vintage Cuts Ribbon on New Start in Glasgow

The House of Vintage saw a cascade of support at its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, drawing a vibrant crowd of local leaders, business owners, and community members.

Located at 105 E Water Street, the new store offers a curated selection of vintage clothing, antiques, and unique collectibles, promising a nostalgic shopping experience for all visitors.

The boutique has no shortage of decorations for different styles.

The event was graced by several prominent local figures, including Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse and Maureen Carpenter, CEO of Barren Inc. Joining them were city council members and board members from the Chamber of Commerce, all eager to welcome the new business to the heart of Glasgow.

Royse took a moment to speak to attendees about the success of the boutique.

The House of Vintage is a passion project by sisters who originally hail from Missouri. Since settling in Glasgow, they have fallen in love with the small-town charm and community spirit. Co-owner Caroline Jackson took a moment to talk about how House of Vintage came to be.

Following the ribbon cutting, attendees were invited to explore the store’s diverse inventory. Shoppers browsed through racks of clothing, admired antique furniture, and discovered a variety of retro memorabilia.

Jackson went on to speak about the outpouring of support from the local community the sisters have experienced.

The sisters have gone on to offer interior designing services to residents, sharing their unique perspectives with the local area they now call home.

As Glasgow continues to grow and evolve, the House of Vintage stands as a testament to the town’s appreciation for history, quality craftsmanship, and the unique stories that vintage items carry.
