Richard Lee Vinson, age 59 of Franklin, passed away on Saturday May 4,2024 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11am at Crafton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 6pm until 8pm and after 8am on Tuesday, at the funeral home. A native of Monroe County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Golmon and Lucille Shoulders Vinson.
He was also preceded in death by- son- Dustin Lee and infant daughter, siblings- Ina Green, Ruth Bray, Marsha Vinson, Terry Vinson, Channy Vinson, Ronnie Vinson and Tommy Vinson.
Richard worked as a factory worker at Tractor Supply, and a member of Franklin Community Church. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, he also enjoyed camping, fishing, watching wrestling. He loved most of all, spending time with his family.
Survivors include- wife- Cheri Richardson Vinson of Franklin, 6 children- Channy Vinson (Lanie) of Indianapolis, Dylan Adams of Franklin, Nicole Silvy of Russellville, Jeremy Richardson (Amanda) of Aaron, Tennessee, Billy West Jr (Andrea) of Russellville and Ashley Meyer (Kim) of Franklin. 14 grandchildren- Hayden, Roman, Marina, James Aaron, Cassidy, Skylar, Carolina, Devin, Benjamin, Brianna, Cayllie, Danielle, Savannah and Cameron. Great granddaughter- MJ and expecting 2 more great grandchildren. 3 sisters- Ilene Thomas (Richard), Eula Vibbert (Wayne) and Fannie Carver (Ellis), in addition to several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Sue Richardson.
