Clyde Salley, age 87, of Park City departed this life on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at T.J. Regional Health in Glasgow. He was born on March 2, 1937 in Edmonson County to the late Sylvester and Nell Majors Salley. He was married to his loving wife of sixty-six years, Lou Ira Thompson Salley, who survives.
Clyde retired after working for forty-five years with Square Deal Lumber Company in Cave City, and was the owner of Salley’s Lock Service. He was a member of Park City United Methodist Church and Park City Masonic Lodge #934 F&AM. Clyde loved his community, neighbors and friends.
Besides his wife, Lou Ira, he leaves to honor his memory— two sons, Randy Salley (Ruth) of Louisville and Rusty Salley (Dana) of Glasgow; grandchildren, Wesley Salley (Allison), Cameron Salley (Jessie), Alyce Henry (David), Meredith Carter (Jordan) and Brooke Holman (Sidney); thirteen great-grandchildren and sisters, Barbara Clark and Judy Wallace. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Margie Toms, Sammie, James and Raleigh Salley.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
