Gloria Jean Brassell

A former Franklin resident, Gloria Jean Brassell, age 70, of Dandridge, TN, died Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the NHC Healthcare in Knoxville, TN.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2pm at Crafton Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Saturday, April 13, 2024  at 10am here at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

She was a native of Madison, TN and the daughter of the late Earlene Hammock and Thel H. Morris.  She loved to cook big meals for her family and watched movies, Dallas Cowboys and listening to music.  Her true love was for the UK Wildcats.

She was preceded in death by her husband – Mark Brassell and son – Brad Humphrey and a great grand daughter – Ellie Seibers.

Survivors include her daughter – Cynthia Metheny (Joe) of New Market, TN, stepson – Corey Brassell (Amber) of Greenville, KY; sister – Annette Morris of Bowling Green, KY; brothers – Donald Scott Goad of Bowling Green and Charles Houston Goad (Tammy) of Bowling Green; 12 grandchildren – Phillip Thomas, Mary Thomas, Taylor Morgan (Chris), LeAnn Kendall, Megan Seibers (Jacob), Cody Metheny (Kristy), Dean Canler (Danielle), Evan Humphrey , Gram Humphrey, Reece Brassell, Jaxen Brassell, Gage Brassell; 12 great grandchildren – Isaiah, Shawn, Chloe, Macy, Blake, Adeline, Remi, Liam, Sadie, Layne and Dawson, Amelia; niece: Moranda Butcher (Stephen) of Bowling Green; nephews, Jeremy Akins (Lynn) of Palm Beach, FL and Clay Humphrey of Bowling Green along with several great nieces and nephews.
