Alfred Vincent, of Leitchfield Kentucky, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday March 21st, 2024.

He lived 95 glorious years and is survived by his Son, Alfred (Coleman) Vincent; his sister, Margaret Rose Vincent-Rigdon and her Husband, Elvin; his Grandchildren, Maggie Vincent and James Shipman; and enough Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends to fill the pages of a very large book.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Vincent; his son, Gary Dale Vincent; his parents, Ezra and Zelma Armes-Vincent; his siblings, Balus, Geneva, Oliver Wendell, Waneda Frances, Virginia Alice, Gertrude, Franklin Delano, Silas Merriel, Roma, Lester Burriel and Polly Ann.

Alfred served in the US Army from 1946-1948 and spent much of that time after World War II in occupied Japan. He worked for Lorillard in Louisville and after retirement bought a farm and built a house outside Leitchfield. He spent many hours in his retirement at Brownsville Karaoke Stars with Patty Forbes and all of his dear friends. The “Dancing Karaoke King” of Brownsville has left the building! The family would also like to thank his caretakers, Essence Echols and Phyllis Downs for helping us care for Alfred and allowing us to bring him home from the hospital.

A short visitation at 10:00 AM and funeral ceremony at 1:00 PM will take place on Saturday April 6th, 2024 at South Union General Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery located at Hwy 187 (Shrewsbury Rd) and Hwy 1075 (Sunny Point Rd). A celebration of life will take place afterward at Brownsville Karaoke Stars (210 South Main Street, Suite #104, Brownsville, KY, 42210). Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate in Alfred’s name to the Bowling Green Veterans Center of Warren Co, KY.
