Daniel Ray McNeil, age 75, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (March 8, 2024) at his residence in Leitchfield, KY with his wife by his side.
He was born on March 7, 1949 in Charleston, WV, the son of the late Jack McNeil and Ester Elda McCoy.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering with tools, drinking coffee every morning at McDonalds and gardening. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines. Daniel was an outstanding friend and would go out of his way to help someone in need. He thoroughly enjoyed helping people. His wife, Sunita, and daughter, Lillian, were his world. He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sunita Daniel McNeil; daughter, Lillian LeVina McNeil; granddaughter, Shonda Geary; one brother; two sisters; his wife’s family, whom he loved dearly; and his McDonald’s Coffee Drinking Crew, Mike, John and Leo. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and his Aunt, Berta McCoy.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.
