Hazel Bewley Wilson

Hazel Bewley Wilson, age 79 of Shepherdsville, departed this life on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at University of Louisville Hospital.  The Edmonson County native was born on June 25, 1944 to the late Wilbert “Bill” and Millie Gipson Bewley.  She was married to her devoted, loving husband of fifty-five years, Tommy Wilson, who survives.

 Hazel retired as a contact representative with Social Security Administration and the railroad retirement board.  She was a member of Chalybeate United Baptist Church, and also attended Longfield United Baptist Church.  She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.   

 Besides her husband, Tommy, she leaves to honor her memory— her siblings, James “Tinker” Bewley, Clara Napier (M.A.) and Ralph Bewley (Linda), along with several nephews and nieces, who she loved as her own.  She was preceded in death by her twin brother, John Bewley and siblings, Rev. Ossie Bewley, Mary Bryant, Mae Doss and Zula Cowles.  

 Interment will be in Kinser Cemetery.
