Edward Michael Shea, 73, of Buchanan, TN passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 at Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY. The Nashville, TN native was a U. S. Army veteran having served in Viet Nam, a retired homicide detective for the Nashville Metro Police Department, a member of the Nashville Metro F.O.P. and an avid fisherman. He was a son of the late William Joseph Shea, Jr. and Caroline Frances Reynolds Shea.
He is survived by his wife: Belinda Shea, Buchanan, TN;
2 daughters: Brandi Shea Van Booven and husband, Mike, Rochester Hills, MI and Jennifer Smalling and husband, Danny, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Jason Peacher, Avon, IN;
1 brother: Bill Shea and wife, Siewling, Springfield, TN;
1 sister: Veronica Byrne and husband, Mike, Hermitage, TN;
7 grandchildren: Avery Van Booven, Aiden Van Booven, Addison Van Booven, Jaden Carter, Layla Carter, Ciera Smalling and Adilynn Smalling;
1 great grandchild: Everleigh Cox.
He was preceded in death by a grandson: Ty Dodson.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Goad Funeral Home with Father Thomas Buckman officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
