Lonnie Little, 71, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at his residence. The Byrdstown, TN native was a lifelong farmer and farming was his life’s calling. He loved the land and checking his cows, and this wasn’t a chore for him, it was a blessing. Lonnie was a member of Scottsville Baptist Church where he served as Building and Maintenance Committee Chairman, a SBC Bus driver for the SBC Senior Adults and Vacation Bible School. He was a Sgt. E5 of the Army National Guard 623rd Field Artillery based in Glasgow, KY, a member and Board member of the Allen County Cattlemen’s Association, Graham Lodge #208 F & A M, volunteer firefighter and former Chairman of the Board of Cedar Springs Volunteer Fire Department and a Kentucky Colonel. Lonnie loved his God, his family, his farm and his friends. He was a son of the late Gilbert Ward Little and Carma Sue Pritchard Little.

1 son: Chris Little, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Melissa Miller and husband, Aaron, Elizabethtown, KY;
1 step son: Alex Belcher and wife, Kate, Brentwood, TN;
1 brother: Larry Little and wife, Tonda, Scottsville, KY;
1 sister: Rhona Scarbro and husband, James, Catalian Springs, TN;
5 grandchildren: Coda Little, Mattie Miller, Avery Miller, Aiden Miller and Marie Miller;
1 unborn step granddaughter: Clark Belcher.
He was preceded in death by his late wife: Wileen Denney Little.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Scottsville Baptist Church with Bro. G. J. Farmer officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Scottsville Baptist Church. The doors of the church will be open at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday. Graham Lodge #208 F & A M will hold masonic rites at 6:00 p.m. Monday at Goad Funeral Home. This service will be open to the public. Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scottsville Baptist Church Building Fund. Donations may be made at the church or Goad Funeral Home.
