Edith Hawkins age 97 of Munfordville passed away Thursday morning, December 21st at Signature of Hart County. She was the last of three children born to Clifton & Gracie Pearl Fitzallen Wilkerson. Mrs. Hawkins was a housewife and she attended the Leitchfield Crossing Baptist Church.
She is preceded by her husband Andrew Hawkins, a brother Eugene Wilkerson & a sister Lucille Kavich.
She is survived by three sons Lester Hawkins(Vannah), Edward Hawkins(Blanca) and David Hawkins(JoAnn);
Six grandchildren-Daniel Hawkins(Angela), Lisa Pannell, Steve Hawkins(Lori), Edward Hawkins, Sharon Hawkins, Vicki Bennett(John); seven great-grandchildren-Jeremy(Alicia), Samantha, Olivia, Ashley, Dayton, Sophia & Isabella; two great-great-grandchildren-Maxwell Stanford & Ellie Joe Berry.
The funeral service for Edith Hawkins will be held at 11am Saturday, December 23rd in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in the Wilkerson Temple Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8pm Friday and after 8am Saturday at the Sego Funeral Home.
