Douglas Dexter Miller, age 58, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (November 28, 2023) at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on September 5, 1965 in Elizabethtown, KY, the son of the late Wilfie and Loetta Peters Miller.
He was saved as a young boy and was of the Baptist faith. He married the love of his life, Tammie Woodcock Miller on March 1, 2003. They enjoyed twenty-two great years together.
He was a Grayson County 4th district magistrate from 1999-2002, former supervisor at Bel Cheese, and currently worked for Tractor Supply Company as a receiver. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cornhole, fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, shooting guns and he loved his dogs, Blue and Red.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tammie Miller; one daughter, Heather Shartzer (Bradley); one son, Kevin Saltsman; four granddaughters, Alayna, Charley, Riley and Allie; three grandsons, Blake, Riley, and Jacob; one brother, Marshall Peters; two sisters, Judy Sandfer and Shirley Peters. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wesley Peters, Burt Miller, and Tony Peters.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (December 8, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Richard Minton and Bro. Joe Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Broadway Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m.
