William R. “Bill” Lindsey

William R. “Bill” Lindsey, age 82 of Brownsville, departed this life with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.  The Jefferson County native was born on February 19, 1941 to the late William R. and Marguerite Humphrey Lindsey.  He was married to his loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth Lindsey, who survives.

Bill worked for years as a licensed electrician and plumber, and retired from the Medical Center at Bowling Green as an engineering supervisor.  He was a faithful member and trustee at Poplar Spring United Baptist Church, until his health began to fail.

Besides his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by his children, Laura Lindsey Jackson (Paul) of Maysville, Darren Lindsey (Nicole) of Brownsville and Shellie Arnold (Anthony) of Brownsville; grandchildren, Betsy Harmon (Blake), Will Lindsey, Hannah Jackson, Emma Lindsey, Andrew Brooks (Emma Woodcock), Ella Brooks and Amira Seymour; great-grandchildren, Claire and Alexis Harmon; bonus daughter, Kathy Schumacher; special caregiver, Susan Waldrop and his beloved dog, Nugg.

Interment will be in Poplar Spring Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to:  Poplar Spring Church Cemetery Fund.
