Kentucky State Police Investigates Double Fatality Collision in Crittenden County

 On Saturday, November 25, 2023 at approximately 4:01 p.m. CT, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 responded to a three-vehicle collision on US 60 near the 5-mile marker in Marion, KY.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Jesika E. Dunkan, 21, of Marion, KY was operating a 2014 Subaru Forester traveling eastbound on US 60. Charles H. Blankenship, 28, of Tiline, KY was operating a 2007 Black Dodge 3500 westbound on US 60, and Harold G. Glendening, 59, of Tiline, KY was operating a 2021 Kia Telluride westbound on US 60.

The 2014 Subaru crossed the center line and entered the westbound lane, struck the rear side of the of the Dodge 3500, and then struck the Kia head-on.

Jesika E. Dunkan was transported to Crittenden Community Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Harold G. Glendening was transported to Livingston County Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A 2-year-old passenger in the Subaru was transported to Crittenden Community Hospital and life-flighted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

A 7-year-old passenger in the Kia Telluride was transported to Livingston County Hospital and then life-flighted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

A 3-year-old passenger in the Dodge 3500 was not injured.

KSP was assisted on scene by the Kentucky Highway Department, Crittenden County EMS, Livingston County EMS, Crittenden County Coroner, Livingston County Coroner, Marion Police Department, Crittenden County Sheriff Department, and Trice Hughes. The investigation is ongoing by Accident Reconstructionist Detective Jacob Stephens.
