Fire destroys the home of two Metcalfe County School employees Tuesday night on the John Gilpin Road in the Breeding area of Metcalfe County.
Don Williams is a bus driver and his wife Toni is a bus monitor. Both of the Williams were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Sadly, some of their pets did not survived.
Superintendent Josh Hurt is asking for thoughts and prayers from the community as the couple copes with this tragedy. “Our hearts go out to Don and Toni. Our number one concern is their health and making sure they receive the care they need,” Hurt said. “We want to thank everyone who has already shown their love and support. We are working with our folks at the Family Resource Center to determine how we can help the family moving forward.”
