Benjamin Patrick Thompson

Benjamin Patrick Thompson passed away Saturday, October 21st at the age of 34 at home in Cub Run. He was a real estate agent and an insurance salesman.

His life was all about conservation. He loved dogs, riding horses, hunting and fishing. He took his nephews on their first horse-back ride with his horse named Trigger. He was a youth baseball coach and he also enjoyed anything that children were involved in. Ben was a true down-to-earth cowboy and enjoyed it to the fullest.

Ben was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church where he was saved at the age of 11 years old when Bro. Leland Childress and Bro. Keith Sanders was in a revival.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Bonita Wilson and his paternal grandparents Ruel and Betty Thompson.

Ben is survived by his wife Erin Springer Thompson of Siloam Springs, Ark.; his parents Mark & Patricia Wilson Thompson of Cub Run; his brother Nick Thompson & his wife Neila-Susan Thompson and their children Carson, Jackson & Naomi of Petersburg, TN; his best friend and beloved dog Winston; maternal grandfather Oral Wilson; Aunts Sandra Thompson(the late Larry of Cub Run), Pam Turner(the late Randy) of Horse Cave, Marilyn Thompson(the late Billy) of Horse Cave; a special cousin Meghan Thompson and cousins Wendy Caudel and Scott Thompson; his father and mother-in-law Dr. Danny Joe Springer & Mrs. Bartina Springer of Siloam Springs, Ark.

The funeral service for Benjamin Patrick Thompson will be 11am Wednesday, Oct. 25th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Sanders officiating.  Burial will be in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8pm Tuesday and after 8am Wednesday at the Sego Funeral Home. The family request that memorial contributions be given to the Animal Rescue Kare of Hart County, P.O. Box 427, Munfordville, KY 42765 or the donations can be left at Sego Funeral Home.
