Michael Lee Burd age 63 of Horse Cave passed away Saturday, Sept. 2nd at his home after a brief illness.
He was the son of the late G.R. Burd & Jean Dilley Coffey. Michael enjoyed hunting, horse-back riding, canoeing and anything that involved being outside for. He was a member of the Munfordville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by three brothers Steve Burd, Terry Burd & Danny Cave.
Michael is survived by his wife Kathy Melloan Burd; his son Chris Burd; two brothers Russell Burd and Clifford Burd and three sisters Sandy Huff, Karen Kerney and Tracey Wright & her husband Bryan.
The funeral service for Michael Burd will be 11am Thursday, September 7, 2023 in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Marty Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8pm and will continue after 8am Thursday at the Sego Funeral Home. The family request that memorial contributions be given to the Munfordville Church of Christ, these donations may be left at the funeral home.
