Cave City firefighters battle back-to-back structure fires with swift success

CAVE CITY – On Monday, at approximately 07:35AM Cave City Fire was dispatched for a structure fire at the Cave City Masonic Lodge.

Upon arrival fire units found heavy smoke coming from the basement. Firefighters were able to make entry and contain the fire to the basement. Firefighters were on scene for over 4 hours.

Cause of fire is under investigation by state fire marshal.

As Cave City Fire was cleaning up from the previous structure fire, CCFD was dispatched for another house fire.

Upon units arrival, found a house that had heavy smoke and flames visible coming from the front of the house. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the living room and kitchen area of the house.

Assisting on both scenes were the Glasgow Fire, Park City Fire, Hiseville Fire, Horse Cave Fire, and BMEMS. No injuries was reported at either scene.
