Domestic dispute turns violent: Glasgow man arrested for shooting brother during altercation

GLASGOW – On Sunday, at approximately 3:30pm, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Dover Church Road in reference to a domestic dispute that ended in one person being shot.

Upon arriving, contact was made with Joshua E. Roscoe, 34, of Glasgow.  Roscoe explained that he had been in a verbal altercation with his brother while trying to break up another altercation his brother was having with other family members at the residence.  During the altercation, Roscoe retrieved a pistol from inside the residence and went back outside where he and his brother then got into a physical altercation.  During the physical altercation, Roscoe shot his brother causing nonlife threatening injuries.

Roscoe was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and is currently being held at the Barren County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond. His court date is set for Monday, July 17.
