Thomas Lee “Bones” Kaelin Jr., age 74, of Bowling Green passed following a brief illness on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the Bowling Green Medical Center. He was born on June 29, 1948 in Franklin, Kentucky to the late Thomas Kaelin Sr. and Nellijean Freudenberger. Thomas served in the United States Army and was a drummer in many local bands.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Phillip, Paul, and Samuel Kaelin.
He is survived by his wife Meda Kaelin; four daughters: Melody Kaelin (Rickie Uhls) of Castalian Springs, Tennessee; Amanda Lush (Jacob) of Henderson, Nevada; Christine Pollard (Jeff) of Youngsville, North Carolina; and Samantha Kaelin of Reno, Nevada; Meda’s children: Amiee Jenkins (Dan), Oliver Trosper, and Andy Trosper all of Bowling Green; Six brothers: Douglas (Leona), John (Robin), James (Ann), David (Angie), Joseph (Elizabeth), and Timothy Kaelin. His grandchildren: Zachary, Ethan, Chloe, Caroline, and Catie; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at 10:00am at the J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel on Broadway with burial in the Brock A. Beery Veterans Cemetery at Fairview. Visitation will be on Friday, June 2nd from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, and again on Saturday from 8:00am until the time of service.
In lieu of Flowers, the family has requested donations be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
