Mr. Andrew Gene Weiss, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Cumberland County Hospital, in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 24 years, 9 months, and 11 days. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on Friday, August 14, 1998 the son of Anthony Barger and Marty Weiss. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jim Barger and Pansy (Thacker) Barger Lee, brother, Nick Cherry, uncles, Robert Barger, Randy Scott, Mike Davis, aunt, Mandy Vincent.
He is survived by his father, Anthony Barger, , mother, Marty Weiss, his Step-Father, Eddie Huddleston, spouse, Taylor Gilbert, daughter Caisie Cade Weiss, grandparents Theresa Vincent, Donald Vincent, siblings, Amy Lynn Weiss (& Kenneth Anderson), Austin Lee Weiss, Anthony Joseph Weiss, John Russell Key, and Dakota Vincent, aunts and uncles, Paula Asberry, Paul “Butch” Weiss, Teddy Allen Weiss, Robert Bobby Weiss, Gary Joe Weiss, Amy Scott, Brandy (& Mathew) Wallace, Diane (& Johnny) and Nick Carter, Jimmy Barger, Cathey Davis, Alice Barger, Debra (&Ricky) Spears , nieces and nephews, Bella Grider, Joseph Grider, Hadley Anderson, and numerous cousins.
The funeral service will be conducted on, Saturday June 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the memory chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Neal Owsley, Bro. Todd Bryant, and Bro. Jonathan Thacker officiating. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2023 after 5:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to help defray final expenses. Donations may be left at Norris-New Funeral Home.
