Anna Lee Adkins, 83, of Brownsville passed away peacefully with family at her side at 5:15 PM May 14, 2023 at Hospice House in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a seamstress for Cain’s, Kellwood and Brownsville Manufacturing and a member of Slate Bank General Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Arthur Duvall and Dollie Lindsey Duvall. She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Lee McGrew; a brother, James Duvall; two sisters, Maggie Reddish and Carmon Duvall; and two grandchildren, Aaron McGuffin and Lisa Adkins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Slate Bank Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Thursday.
Surviving are three sons, Ray McGrew of Leitchfield, Pat McGrew of Ogden, UT and Arthur McGrew of Uvalde, TX; four daughters, Genia Bargo (John) of Morgantown, Sarah Kay Brooks of Russellville, Lisa Moore of Bowling Green and Renetta Westbay (Joe) of Hardinsburg, IN; six sisters, Linda Beasley, Peggy Hardin, Thelma Alford (Ronnie) of Bowling Green, Lucille Colonna (Greg) of Centertown, Della Irby (Danny) of Prospect and Vernita Sharp (Kendell) of Louisville; four brothers, Johnny Duvall (Debbie) and Carlton Duvall (Sandy) both of Big Reedy, Charlie Blair of Sunfish and Doug Duvall of Elizabethtown; 26 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
