Update (6:49 p.m.) – The Barren County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the roadway is back open.

GLASGOW – A semi-trailer hauling corn has crashed along Burkesville Road causing only one lane to be open to traffic.
Mike Houchens, Public Information Officer with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred around 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Eighty-Eight community. The trailer is stuck in the ditch and will have to be unloaded to before it can be recovered.
Deputies are on the scene directing traffic along one lane of the road.
The roadway is expected to be reopened within the next couple of hours, Houchens told WCLU News just after 3 p.m.
