Glendle Carter Skaggs

Glendle Carter Skaggs, 81, of Lindseyville passed away March 15, 2023 at his home. The Edmonson County native was a truck driver, a security guard, a US Marine Corps veteran, a member of Teamsters Local 89, a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 12, a member of Amvets Post 130 and a member of Midway United Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Laymon C. Skaggs and Lorene McGrew Skaggs and the husband of the late Luretha “Lou” Hogan Skaggs.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Robin Sowders Skaggs; two brothers, Wendle Skaggs and Billy Joe Skaggs; and three sisters, Anna Skaggs, Sue Herndon and Linda Spurgeon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will take place 5-8 PM Saturday, including a Final Salute at 6:00 PM, and after 10:00 AM Sunday.
Surviving are two sons, Glenn Skaggs (Lisa) of Bowling Green and Eugene Skaggs (Tina) of Windyville; a sister, Penny Yates of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Jessica York (James), Megan Roof, Athel Thomas Roof, Jennifer Epley (Brandon), Cody Devore (Dina), Ciara Mayhugh (James), Halie Williams and Toya Berry; and ten great grandchildren, Izzi Roof, Lily Lyle, Jase Lyle, Addison Krohn, John Carter York, Ember Richardson, Katie Mayhugh, Zoey Mayhugh, Paisley Mayhugh and Grayson Lee Devore.
