CAVE CITY — A stretch of roadway heading to Cave City is closed due to debris in the roadway.
Cave City Mayor Dwayne Hatcher told WCLU News Saturday morning that the closure of Highway 70 could take awhile as debris are cleared. The roadway is also know as Griderville Road.
A state of emergency has also been declared.
Hatcher said residents should be prepared to wait before their power is restored due to widespread outages. Power companies continued work on Saturday morning.
