Mr. Welby Savage

Mr. Welby Savage, age 67, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, at his residence.  Welby was born on April 2, 1955, a son of the late Charlie Leslie Savage, and Marjorie Berniece (Arnett) Savage, who survives. He was a Tompkinsville High School Graduate, Class of 1973.  He retired from Felkner Brothers in Glasgow and enjoyed farming and Horseback Riding.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Stewart Savage; his mother, Marjorie (Arnett) Savage, two daughters, Leslie Dee Evits and husband Chad of Dixon Springs, Tennessee, Jessica Kay Thacker and husband Dan of Cookeville, Tennessee; two grandsons, Charles Ray, and Adam Wayne Thacker; and two granddaughters, Ellie Mae and Lila Kay Evitts; one sister, Cindy Hood and her husband Kenny; three aunts, Connie Savage Brown, Shirley Arnett Ferguson, Sandra Arnett Cloyd, and three uncles, Carol Savage, Warren “Sonny” Arnett, and Terry Arnett, along with a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his father; Charlie Leslie Savage, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bethel and Eva Savage, and Maternal grandparents, Orville and Pauline Arnett.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Freedom # 2 Cemetery. Bro. Shannon Arnett and Bro. Terry Ford will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday morning after 8:00 a.m. until time for services at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Freedom # 2 Cemetery in honor of Welby. Those may be made at the funeral home.
