Mr. Willard Capps, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, Kentucky having attained the age of 73 years, 9 months and 8 days. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Wednesday, April 27, 1949 the son of Carson and Flora Ethel (Brown) Capps. He was a Christian and the owner of Capps B.B.Q.. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, James Capps, Lloyd Capps, his brother-in-law, Stanley Short, great-nephew, Caleb Capps.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Gayle (Strode) Capps, whom he wed on Saturday, March 19, 1983 his daughter, Kela (& Cody) Everley, of Burkesville, Kentucky, his sister, Callie Short of Burkesville, Kentucky, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wallace (Alyne) Strode of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, sisters-in-law, Deloris (& Jackie) Vibbert, Mandy (& Taylor) Wood, Stacy McWilliams all of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, Marcia Capps Scarlett of Franklin, Kentucky, his grandchild, Kayden Everley, along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 12:00 Noon, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville with Bro. Michael Stinson and Dr. Jerry Bean officiating. The family will receive friends after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the funeral home until the funeral hour on Wednesday.  Burial will be in the Mount Poland Cemetery in Tompkinsville, Ky. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky is honored to be in charge of arrangements.
