Myrna Elaine Williams Harbison, 86, Glasgow, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023.  She was born on April 11, 1936 in Barren County, KY to the late George Buford Williams and Anna Susan Pedigo Williams.  She was the last remaining sibling out of 12.

Myrna retired from Happy Valley School where she was head lunch lady for 29 years.  She loved all of her Happy Valley Family.  She was a member of Columbia Avenue Church of Christ.  The last several years, she attended services at South Green Street Church of Christ.  She was a strong woman who overcame so many obstacles in her life.  Her strength and devotion to her family and friends was what made her so special.

Myrna is survived by her four children, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren:

Four sisters-in-law: Betty Bailey Compton, Thelma Harbison, Rebecca Williams, and Marlene Williams; two brothers-in-law: Denny Harbison (Sondra) and Stanley Harbison (Elaine); bonus children: Timmy and Patty Harrison; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Harbison of December 11, 1966, along with three sisters: Gladys Fox (Charlie), Lucille Johnson (Cecil), and Frances Shields (Hoyt); and eight brothers: Joe B.Williams (Mary Alice), Frank Williams (Ann), George Williams (Thelma), Leroy Williams (Bernadine), Albert Williams, Clifton Williams, David Williams, and Lewis Williams (Patty).

A special thanks is given to her caregivers Sherry Mosier and Michelle Morgan; and Hospice Care, especially John Stephens, Dr. Amelia Kiser, and Sonya.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Neal’s Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neal’s Chapel Cemetery Fund.
