Bill J. Wininger, 80, of Glasgow, died Tuesday January 31, 2023, at home with family. Bill was born at home in Montgomery County, IN on December 3, 1942, to the late Earl Wininger & the late Agnes Collins Wininger.

He is proceeded in death by two sisters: Doretha (Don) Myers, Louise (Joe) Snellenbarger, and one brother Dean (Sarah) Wininger.

Survivors include his wife Jane Wininger; his son Curt (Lynda) Wininger, Groveport, OH; his daughter Kathy (Mark) Vance, Glasgow; and his son Brandon (Stacy) Wininger, Glasgow. There are six adult grandchildren Chase Wininger, Louisville; Will (Emily) Vance, Bowling Green; Grant Wininger, Shelbyville; Zack (Brittany) Vance, Glasgow; Sydney (Kyle) Hunter, Louisville; Ellis Wininger, Louisville. There are three great- grandchildren: Keelan Robbins & Emryn Vance of Glasgow and Hugh Hunter of Louisville.

Bill was a business owner of Travers Food & Phillips 66 gasoline for several years in Glasgow, Edmonton, Summer Shade, Munfordville, and Tompkinsville. Before coming to Glasgow, he was a marketing

representative for 20 years with Phillips 66 in Indianapolis & then Louisville. He attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN intending to become a basketball coach. While pumping gas to make it through college he changed his goal to that of owning his own gas stations. He loved to fish & play golf, He was a sports fanatic, coaching little league baseball & football for many years, including the presidency of Buechel Little League of Louisville. Locally he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

The family has honored his request for cremation. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Saturday, February 11th at the First Presbyterian Church in Glasgow. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time for service on Saturday at the church, and Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that a memorial contribution may be made in Bill’s name to the First Presbyterian Church, T.J. Samson Hospice, T.J. Community Mission Foundation, or to a local charity of your choice. A.F. Crow & Son is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Wininger.
