UPDATE (9:45 a.m.) : Glasgow Police could not confirm whether the student was coding when they were removed from the school.
A helicopter was being dispatched shortly after 9:40 a.m. to the hospital to transport a pediatric patient. Dispatch advised the helicopter team that the ailment is due to a pediatric drug overdose. The female patient is intubated and on a ventilator.
Police said they could not confirm any details until they speak with the school.

GLASGOW — WCLU News has learned Glasgow High School was placed in a lockdown status sometime after 8 a.m. Friday.
Glasgow Police said a student had a medical issue, and the school was placed on lock down thereafter. Police did not explain why the lockdown was necessary.
The student was taken to TJ Samson Hospital and remains there. Police said the student’s condition was unknown.
WCLU News has contacted Glasgow Independent Schools for comment to no avail.
