James Douglas Browning, 74 of Glasgow, passed away Monday December 12, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Barren County on February 24, 1948, to the late John Stanley Browning and Elizabeth Pearl Bunch Browning. Doug worked for Glasgow Concrete for over 35 years until his retirement. After he retired, he has worked on his family farm. Doug was a member of Neals Chapel Church.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married on December 21, 1968, Helen Browning; daughter, Tracy Stephens (Chris); son, Scott Browning; grandchildren, Dalton Stephens, Hunter Browning, Whitney Stephens (Cole), and Keeper Browning; brother, William Stanley Browning; nephews, Lowell Browning (Pam) and Joe Browning (Vickie); niece, Pammy Browning; special cousins, Gayle Berry, and Lucy Gray all of Glasgow.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Joseph Browning.
Funeral Service will be 1:00pm Friday, December 16th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Neals Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00pm until 8:00pm and on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A.F.
