Jarene Jones, age 95, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Monroe County Medical Center. She was born on September 12, 1927, the daughter of Duey and Ollie Emma (Murphy) Graves, and was raised in Hickory Ridge. Jarene married Grady Odell Jones on February 7, 1946. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Randall Dale Jones, of Tompkinsville, Dallas Wayne Jones of Lexington, Ricky Jones and wife Minnie and Grady Lynneth Jones and wife Margie all of Tompkinsville; her daughter Wanda Tyree of Tompkinsville; one brother, Franklin Graves of Tompkinsville; one sister, Pearl Walker of Tompkinsville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse Grady Odell Jones; her sisters, Geneva Pharris and Odene Walker; her brothers, Royce Graves and Reggie Odle Graves.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with burial in the Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Bro. Jason Page will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends after 9:00 am on Sunday, December 11, 2022, until the service at 1:00 p.m.
The pallbearers will be Randy, Kelvin, Christopher Jones, Devan Brooks, Garrett and Gage Jones, Steven Brooks, and Keith Davis.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery or Pleasant Hill Church of Christ in memory of Mrs. Jones.
